Like the works of writer, Damon Runyon, Runyon's has its own culture. Customers become lo yal patrons and dear friends and those familiar faces fill the dining room and bar room (regulars call the bar their "clubhouse"). This neighborhood icon opened in 1981 and is now owned and operated by Tony McGinley and his wife, Grail. With a warm and inviting atmosphere, checkered tablecloths, lots of rich dark woodwork, and a dramatic mural decorate the place. Take a walk down memory lane as you reminisce about old time sports figures depicted in the black and white photos that are displayed.

While the place is unpretentious and casual, Chef Tim Mahony's food has been garnering rave reviews for the past 25 years. House specialties are steaks, burgers, fresh seafood like clams from the Great South Bay which are brought in daily. Tim's signatures include Seafood Bisque, and Oysters Runyon with a spicy kick from Cajun mayo. There are beers on tap from domestic to imported. The varied menu has something to suit everyone's taste and kids eat free everyday.

With a Cheers atmosphere, Runyon's has been a "go to" place for 30 years. It's lively, it's fun, it's casual...and the food is delicious.
